Mambo is much more than just a software project: It is truly a global community. There are Mambo users worldwide and many countries around the globe have very strong Mambo communities. Our global community partners offer translation services, forums, local and global Mambo news and announcements, downloads, and much more. Many of our local community partners have benefitted from the sense of community that comes from being involved in a project of this scale, one that touches so many peoples lives. Some of our global community partners have even built strong businesses from their association with Mambo. What does it take to set up a new Mambo community? Time, effort and energy. There are no licensing fees or stringent rules. The Mambo Foundation encourages anyone who has the time and the interest to set up a community to do so. We stand ready to offer support to all new communities in several areas: - Mambo content
- Mambo graphics
- access to our translation team
- access to the Advocacy, PR & Membership team
- speaker services
- promotional assistance
- and more!
Community members who become involved in translation efforts are entitled to display on their site the Mambo Official Translation Partner badge. Additionally, at this time we are formulating a procedure for recognizing Official Mambo Partner sites for each country. We will be making announcements on this subject in the next few weeks, so please check back with us for more information. In the meantime, if you want to know more about starting a Mambo community contact our Membership Team and tell them you are thinking about launching a new community.
